SIMPLE BY DESIGN

Bring a HEIC photograph into your editing workflow.

PNG preserves the decoded pixels without another lossy compression step, though it cannot restore detail lost in the HEIC original. Photograph files may grow considerably. Only 8-bit SDR HEIC is accepted; HDR requires a separate color-managed workflow. Auxiliary depth data is omitted from the PNG.

Orientation is applied. Supported RGB and grayscale ICC profiles in JPEG, PNG, WebP, TIFF and JPEG XL are converted to sRGB. EXIF, GPS and other source metadata are removed. Animations, multiple pages, HDR and ICC-tagged HEIC/AVIF are unsupported. JPEG, GIF, BMP and HEIC output uses a white background.
